The phrase "save of the year" is thrown about pretty liberally these days. However, Jake Allen's incredible save against the Calgary Flames on Friday night is worthy of consideration for the year's best, and perhaps luckiest, save.
Wow. That's a remarkable save. The stop is impressive as is but the calmness and awareness to catch his own rebound is beyond smooth. Following his huge stop, Allen made numerous other big saves to send the Blues to the dressing room with a 4-0 lead.
